Youth Advisory Committee

The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) guides the work of the Schools for Girls of Color Learning Network and participates in our events, providing recommendations based on their lived experiences and gaining hands-on leadership experience. Members are girls and young women of color under the age of 25 from across the country. Visit to learn more.

We have invited girls of color to submit essays about how COVID-19 is affecting you. The author of the winning entry will receive a $75 prize and will be published in our newsletter and website! Runners-up will also be recognized.
